Thankful Guilt

I can't help but feel sad today for what is happening around the world. First Haiti, then Chile, now Japan.  Coastal areas are in warning of a Tsunami!..So many people have lost loved ones, injured family and friends.
But, yet I sit here warm in my house with my family healthy and happy! I feel guilty because I am thankful and happy. I feel guilty because there's a tiny hurray in my heart because my issue of Flea Market Style has finally arrived. After a long awaited time. God I am so grateful for all that I have,..  I feel guilty for being happy.
Knowing so many are hurt..God Speed!

country living

Frozen without a camera!
My camera is in the shop getting some TLC..for a whole week! Yes, I think I pooped it out with all the photo taking I have been doing lately..Lol..Its really good to get you camera's checked out every year. Clean them up a bit. This is my camera's first visit to the shop. She's only a year old. I feel lost without her!

Lovely images,

Have you ever been going in a specific direction in life and thought, "ok this is it, I love it!! I know this is what I want I am most certain of it." Then wake up in the middle of the night and it hits you..this is all wrong! I should be going this way..

country living

I know we have all had that happen in different areas of life but,
I am talking about decorating! Of course.  Ever think YES! this is it,  this is the look I want! I am so sure of it! Then have one of those wake-ups! Well, thank goodness this happend to me before I actually started decorating, because we just moved in... I was so certain of the direction I wanted to go.. then poof I felt something totally different!!! I know you have all experienced this!
I have changed my mind. Yes, changed my mind..and just in the nick of time..
I have some new idea's brewing..
I have some new thought's
I have a great new outlook..

I love blogging. It is such a great way to document your creative ideas and feelings.  I feel like in turn, it seems to open the flood gates for more ideas. Before blogging, I didn't have anywhere to document my work and thoughts other than a boring portfolio..this is sooo much more. I feel like your ideas can get crowed if you don't let them out, and some even get lost..I have my books of ideas, magazines etc..but, there is nothing like it when you can play it out and then document it..it seems releases so much more..

Thanks for listening to another random post

The unexpected..

When I style or design, I love to use something unexpected!
I am an ANIMAL LOVER!
Bleaced antlers are a crazy favorite of mine right now.
I like to believe these pictures of antlers, are those of animals that passed away a natural death, out to pasture somewhere peaceful!

Great reproductions are out there!

White Wednesday

Joining Kathleen over at Faded Charm for White Wednesdays!

White Framed Mirrors.
I feel so much better today. THANK YOU for all your sweet comment's to get well soon. Wow, I have not been sick in 2 years. I guess the mom power that comes from having a child wore off..
I am not good at resting and sitting still..I love to work and be with my family and friends, and when your sick you..ugh.. you can't do a thing and I realize quickly how fortunate we are to have good health!

We just moved in a few months ago..and there is tons to do around our here. I found these beautiful vintage white framed mirrors ..another one of my lovely collections..and I never pass these up!
These are so gorgeous on a wall grouped together, what a statement!

This shape is sooo hard to come by and is stunning just by herself...

I am playing around with my camera and I am having so much fun. I have the Nikon D60..Great camera if you have kids..
I am trying to find a class to take with my super talented friend Jennifer from The Old Painted Cottage. We both want to maximize our camera's functions,
and feel we can do that with a couple of courses, hopefully..I am the type of girl who can go to school forever, and  I always want to take a class on whatever INTERESTS me. You can never stop learning! Knowledge is power! I am a creator though.. I am not an avid writer..like the Flower Patch Farm Girl who is both! I look forward to her posts, they are genuine, unique and a flippen hoot!
but, my friends writing is one class that I have no interest in..lol..

This is an odd niche we have in our passway from the formal family room to the kitchen family room.
I just played around with these and came up with a simple arrangement!

Love the detail on this frame.

so sweet...

Oval shaped mirrors are another rare find!

I have decided to ship these off to The Agoura Antique Mart to sell..let me know if anyone is interested, just email me..I am not selling on a regular basis, only when I feel I want to move something out and bring something new in..

Table for Two

Tablescapes are one of my favorite vignettes to create!
After I have Valentine's Day Dinner with my hubby and little boy, we will put the little man down and re-treat to the dinning room for some wine and cheese. Then finish with dessert and champagne,
at my little table for two..oh la la sounds so fancy...

I love using Traditional red roses..

I collect vintage transferware, and found this beautiful red and white rose pitcher at a flea market,

I love my Rachel Ashwell plates paired with my Vietri Charger

Don't forget to decorate your candles sticks..I heart candles, I did a post just for them..lol
I added these crystals to these crystal candlestick!

Add curly willow with roses... it creates gorgeous texture.

and wa la...

Happy Valentine's Day..

Transferware & Willow

Another Random Post..

I love to collect transferware. It comes in a few different colors. Transfer printing was originally produced in single-color items only, with the favorite hues in blue, red, black, brown, purple and green. Brown tended to be rather a common and inexpensive color, while blue was the most sought after and expensive color.
Learn a brief history of Transferware here
Brown Transferware is great to add with White Ironstone for the winter..
I love it all!!

ahh.. so pretty

lovely

Pussy Willow is also great in the winter.. love the different textures..

Happy Thursday!
