Glitter & Happy New Year

When I saw the idea I knew I had to share.  Dress up inexpensive
champagne glasses with glitter.  Just add glitter glue to the base of the
glass, spread glue with a napkin, add glitter, wait to dry.
Instant Sparkle
(use German glitter too)

Wishing you and yours a safe
 and Happy New Year
Blessing

Goals, Cupcakes & Cookbook of the Month

Recipe Layout Restyle Source

My little men are getting old enough to start having some
fun in the kitchen.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas!!!
Are you gearing up for a fun and exciting new year, full of promise's?
This is when my OCD kicks into overdrive and I begin to clear out all the clutter once again.
I read somewhere it takes a good year to get your home
organized and for everything to find a place. Hmm, better get started then.

 I have lost a total of 15
pounds this past year.  The baby weight is finally starting to come off.  It was not easy to lose
the weight with my second baby.
I was in the gym at least 3 times a week, used portion control
and even injured my back in the process but, I kept with it and I have never felt better.
Can't wait to start hitting the gym and my favorite cycling class.
My kryptonite is a major sweet tooth.
So, this year one goal is to start preparing healthier meals for for me and my family.
Moderation is key. Don't make all these drastic changes at once.
Take one day at a time and make small improvements, then watch out
because it can become a huge snow ball effect into a healthier lifestyle.

With that, Dustylu will have a cook book of the month each month on the blog,
We will cook a few recipes from that book and let you know what we think.
Everyone will be invited to link along and share
their favorite cookbook. More on that later.

Happiest of New Year!

Merry Christmas, Hot Cocoa, Our living room, Winner

(recipe layout by Restylesource)

DIY Cranberry garland.  A great way to add a splash of color to your
Christmas decor.  You can make it the same way you would make popcorn garland,
using a needle and thread.

(it will only last a couple of days so it best used for a holiday party, then toss)

I wanted to wish you a very Merry Christmas.
I made you some hot cocoa, will you stay awhile?

This is the time for me to stop, re-flect and celebrate
the birth of Christ.  Cherish your family and friends, make each
moment count.  Pray for those who are hurting and tired.
Give more, want less.

I am so grateful this year for my little family.
We are together happy, healthy and safe.
Wishing you holiday love and blessings.
